Busy Month!

Gosh where has the summer gone? I've gotten a tad behind in my blogging here so I'll just give a few highlights of what's been going on the past month.

I joined Facebook--mixed feelings on this. Lots of fun to share pics and see photos of people I love or who don't live in Dallas. On the other hand, why can't I just flat out ignore people? Do I really care that they aren't going to like me or get mad at me? Some of them are people I haven't seen in like 15 years. I feel like I'm a 'bad' person or something, but honestly there are people from the past you'd prefer to just leave there....Why is that little 'ignore' button so hard?

Oh and in more serious news, I am retiring. I am leaving Southwest at the end of March--I could kinda cry thinking about it because I have absolutely loved my job and especially my girls at work, but I'm quickly coming to a place in life where I want to stay home for a little while and just be a mommy & wife and I'm incredibly blessed to be in a situation where I can do that. More to come on that note since I have 8 more months...

We've had a month FULL of birthday parties, some wedding events, lots of baby showers, going to Tulsa for the 4th, and entertaining at the Hicks house in general. Lots going on..but most important in my life...

CARSON IS 6 MONTH OLD today! Time is flying by! Quick stats ( you know I love those)...25.5 inches long and 14.8 pounds..She my little lean green bean! She's rolling over constantly, talking mamamamama is our favorite word, and she has LOVED the pool this summer. A few pics..

And we can't wait for our new friend Lucas coming VERY soon! No seriously this is one of my new favorite pictures because of what was going. We have been celebrating a FABULOUS month for Darla--she & Kervin are finally getting married in Hawaii on August 12 (their 14th anniversary) so we have had a super fun couples shower & her bachelorette party the past few weeks to celebrate. Anywho, this pic was Jolie was shaking her booty on the dance floor, she was not letting a little belly stop her. She was awesome and I can't wait to tell Lucas the story of his mommy shaking it on the dance floor 8 months preggo.
Cheers for Darla (no, I'm not wearing feathers, Darla had a wand of sorts she was carrying all night!)..We had so much fun, I had not been dancing in quite some time. We are all so excited for her and Kervin--Just wish I was going to Hawaii too! ;o)
