Seriously? Yes, seriously.

I'm pregnant.

Typical dialogue goes something like this- SH: We got a little surprise 2 days before we left for Mexico. Carson is going to be a big sister---I'm pregnant.
Friend: SHUT UP! Seriously?
SH: Seriously.
Friend: SHUT UP! OMG. (concerned voice) How are you doing? How far apart does that make the kids? Are you excited? (happy voice) Was Jason just over the moon excited?
SH: 14 1/2 months. Yes, Jason was jumping on the bed so excited. After I told him I had to go back to bed for 2 hours. What do you think?

SURPRISE!

I think I was in a complete state of shock for about 2 weeks. Clearly I was THRILLED about the baby part, selfishly it's just the being 8 1/2 months pregnant part that is still mighty fresh on the brain.

Then I saw the little thing (or at the time it looked more like a sea turtle) and realized how good God is. He's got a sense of humor though that's for sure, but it just goes to show it's all in His timing. It took us 2 years to have Carson and with not even trying I'm being blessed with a second baby. Life is good---I'm having another baby with my husband who is an amazing father. Will it be hard- yes. Lets face it, one is doable but I don't care when you have the second it rocks your world. Now I love the fact they'll be close..and hey lets be honest, I'm 31 so no spring chicken here myself ;o)

As I type this--I'm 13 weeks, feeling good. Little tired, but glad the first trimester is over.

AND we are changing it up this time--we are not going to find out the sex. I figured lets go with the theme, the pregnancy was a surprise so in the spirit of the baby--lets make the sex a surprise too. Boy name is solid, but we are at a a loss for girl names so taking suggestions!
