2 weeks old ALREADY???

Where does the time go? Ahhh, Carson AND Caroline are napping...Yeah! Sprinkle fingers! I'm in shock that it's been 2 weeks already! We had a mom shift change yesterday so my fab MIL is here for the next 2 weeks. My mom was a rock star last week and it's only because of the mom's that I'm getting great sleep and feeling so good.
The Triple K's came in town this weekend (See Kellie's blog on the sidebar for some precious cousin pics!)...it was such a special weekend for me for the cousins to get to meet. I liked this picture of Kenny holding Caroline :O)
Couple of LC highlights (again, LC = Little Caroline, C = Carson):
-She's NOTHING like Carson. She is a very very laid back baby. She's actually very alert and rarely fusses unless she's hungry..and my gosh she is a big eater! BF is going great this time around, who knew??
-C is an absolute angel with LC. She points to her and says 'baby' and occasionally gets curious by my girls (aka boobs, sorry dad)..but she seems ok with me spending time with the baby as long as she gets her mommy time too.
-LC for SURE takes after my side of the family. That's only fair right? Carson is a spitting image of her daddy. Actually LC looks the most like my brother Michael. Much fairer skin, perfectly round head, button nose, slender little feet & long toes.
I'm so much more confident this time around. A newborn is never easy but it's going pretty great and we are finding our little groove as a family of 4. C is at such a fun age that you really are highly entertained when she's awake. She's chattering non-stop and is just a little sponge! The past month she has hit full out toddler mode and I just fall in love with her more every day. She loves to give hugs to the dog, play with her stuffed animals, and loves having a little purse.
Also, for real I cannot thank my amazing friends enough for feeding me! I have never appreciated food like I have the past week, it stays SO busy with 2 (Jennifer you are my hero with triplets)...It's busy but not impossible and every day I feel a little more comfortable with how my life is. Funny though, and a little update from my last post: Um, yeah. I haven't thought about work since I left. I miss the people--especially my work BFF's!!!--but I'm honestly at such a peace about closing that chapter of my life for now anyway..
So this is my new life, a mother of 2 little girls. I'm constantly tired and have frizzy hair and eyeliner constantly under my eyes, and a lot of baby weight to lose, but I could cry just thinking about how truly blessed I feel right now, life is never perfect but my little world feels pretty perfect to me right now. Glory to God for my 2 healthy babies.
