Bricktown was really just taking off when I graduated so I never made it past Club 54 when I actually lived in Norman, but OKC is doing very well. Frankly I think the city could appropriately be renamed Chesapeake City.

Boomer--Dad's Day!
So this past weekend was mine & dad's annual Dad's Day. We've done this every year for as long as I can remember. (How I long for the days of the ZTA official dad's day t-shirt stating so..Anyone else miss being a cotton ho?). Got to meet up with Kellie & Kenny for some pre-game action then, of course, sitting in our seats 35 minutes pre-kickoff so dad's anxiety level was calm...You see he gets very worked out at the thought of missing kick-off, therefore going to a game with dad you know that you will be sitting in your seats having peed and coke in hand at approximately 40 minutes prior to kick-off.
Air Force game was fun, just your typical 110 degrees..But good Lord the drama. Don't worry we said 'Home of the Brave' this week during the national anthem instead of 'Home of the Sooners' as to not offend. Nevermind it's a tradition that one gets to do only 6 times a year at Owen Field, it's not like one can yell that out in any other setting. Personally, I don't think it's disrespectful (lighten up people, it's the Bible Belt. LORD we all know that good ol' Republican Oklahoma Loves our troops)..But since King Bob Stoops himself asked not to say it, his minions obliged.
Got to give OKC some major kuddos. Lenice and I went out for some post-game enlightment and they have really stepped it up with some awesome new development/restaurants/bars. We ate at this little Italian restaurant called Flips then had some drinks at Republic. Very very cool/trendy and it was nice to go to brand new places.
