Some things in life never change. When you are 6,7,8 you take for granted all of those softballs and soccer trophies. All of those spelling bee ribbons. You line your parents bookshelves and refrigerator with your proud displays of accomplishment and take it all for granted.
Today I accomplished something I set out to do in March. I did the Tulsa Route 66 Half-Marathon. And I got a medal. I wore that thing until a shower mandated I take it off. I was as proud as a 6 year old.
My nephew Kaleb asked me if I won. I said yes.
