Passing the Days.

Summers as a mommy has a whole new context. As a kid and a college student, they are the days you look back on and know are short lived---staying up late as your friends house, sleeping in, actually talking on the phone til all hours of the night. As a working adult, you cuss those people and say things like 'just wait' making you sound like the Wicked Witch of the West. Or you vow to become a teacher. As a mom, the strategy so far is "how to avoid being outside past 9AM when the heat is 119'. One way? Kids birthday parties. This one was a Dora the Explorer party and Carson's friend Madison is a dead ringer for Dora...Pretty cute birthday party though..

other ways to pass time? Why of course, sitting at mommy's desk and 'typing'---Oh Lord, I pray that keyboard still works..

and rolling on the floor---if you can't tell by the pictures, it's the dreaded 4:45 hour. Not quite dinner, but daddy isn't home and mom is out of ideas...Roll away my child...I have been slacking big time this summer in my posting, but since Facebook has taken the place of blogs these days I figure about the only person actually reading these anymore is my mom.

ZTA Girls Weekend was super fun though, Carson & I stayed the weekend at Auntie Lenice's, got to go to Brody's (Jonice's son's) 3rd birthday party, and of course no visit is complete without Christin. We missed you terrible Jenn, but ode to this summer's ZTA Girls pic.
