My cup runneth over with how blessed I feel for my children to have something I never did---4 involved, incredible grandparents, and aunts/uncles who are so involved in their daily lives. That is something they will likely take for granted as children and I am glad that they can afford that luxury at this point in their lives.
When my dad had his stroke almost 3 years ago now, something snapped in me about truly never taking my parents for granted and making the most of each visit. To this day, I am so thankful to our Lord in heaven for giving dad back to us and that was a time that changed all of us. And I can say we all make the most of each visit to Dallas and Tulsa and the moments we all have. And as I have watched my dear mother in law lose both of her parents this year, I realize she never took them for granted either. She sacrificed a year of her life in helping them be comfortable in the ending of theirs. In pain and hardships, our faith is allowed to grow and find its resolve. And He never stops giving us hope for the future.
Christ is always consistent and gives us just what we need. He never changes.
Christ is Risen. He has Risen Indeed.
