American Girl

There are several perks to being a girl mom, although clearly I have nothing to compare against here, but one of them is that I get to re-live baby dolls, Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake, and Care Bears. For years this whole American Doll saga kinda creeped me out, why are these dolls so expensive? Why does a pair of shoes for a doll cost $15? Then I had 2 daughters. Now I would buy customized Tom shoes for their doll if they ask. So Bitty Babies in hand, off we went to our first American Girl shopping experience.
My Diva daughter checked out every outfit, looked at every option for her baby

My free-spirited daughter was not about to make a selection, she just wanted to drink out of the pretend juice box.

I adore this picture of her. She very very carefully chose a matching outfit for her baby Carson. It was such a touching moment seeing her so excited about matching her baby. I'm sure just like my mom felt in the 3rd grade when we wore matching Bongo jeans skirts with hot pink t-shirts with the sleeves rolled up.
