BRITNEY!!!

Going to a Britney Spears concert looking for true musical performance would be like going all the way to San Francisco to order queso--that's not why you are there. But why then were me, 4 friends, and 20,000 screaming girls & gays willing to shell out $95 for a ticket (plus another $12, thank you ticketmaster)? It's because it's an experience. It's like one of those Six Flags performances where everything is just over the top with drama, huge exaggerated body movement, lip-synching, and eye candy everywhere you looked...just with a $30 million dollar budget. In fact, I'm pretty sure the only live part of the concert was about half-way thru she said 'What's Up Dallas!!!!'. The crowd went bananas and that my friends what the extend of any 'live' action. But she was an amazing performer--I'm more of the circa 2000 flavor of Brit Brit with I"m Not a Girl, Oops I Did it Again..and she didn't play much of her old stuff. She's also not her old Pepsi ad body either, but man that girl is BUFF! We had amazing seats (pics will be coming via Steph this weekend and I"ll post them) but we were close enough to where I could really make our her thigh and stomach muscles.

Surprising though, was her opening act who DID perform live. The Pussycat Dolls were fantastic live performers. Granted with such musical genius as 'When I grow up I want to be famous, I want a nice car, I want to have boobies' (yes I know it's groupies but it doesn't sound like that). The Kim Kardashian lead singer-look alike was a fabulous singer. I just want to be the Pink look alike girl of the group. The only thing that girl did for 45 minutes was put one leg above her head--in EVERY dance. That's her contribution people.

Walking around Steph, Jolie, Melanie, Jennifer, & I all agreed that Forever 21 in Northpark Mall is sitting back counting their money today as I'm sure they are wiped clean after the concert yesterday.

Crazy though, as I go to this concert--I know it won't be my last. Very VERY VERY weird to think that in about 10 years Carson will be dying to go to these..Maybe not Brit, more likely the Miley reunion tour..And just like I did last night, I'm sure I'll comment on the youth of American girls. Brit's for SURE NOT the role model I want for my daughter, but I have to admit a tiny bit of me is excited that my silly concert days aren't quite over....

In other news, it was my favorite day today!! Although mommy was very tired from last night's festivities we weren't too tired for Playdate day! It was even more hilarious today, we hung out at Natalie's parents awesome house and had a great time chit-chatting and letting the kids play! Below we have (backrow left to right): Carson, Royce, Everett, Gray (front row) Gavin, and Kaylie. They were just too cute and so funny all lined up and talking!
